Antivirus System Pro is een bedrieglijke anti-spyware toepassing. Antivirus System Pro lijkt op andere beruchte bedrieglijke anti-spywaretoepassingen, zoals AntivirusSystemPro, AntivirusSystem Pro, Antivirus SystemPro, Antivir System PRO en AntivirSystemPRO. Antivirus System Pro besmet het computersysteem zonder medeweten of toestemming van de gebruiker d.m.v. een Trojaans paard. Deze gevaarlijke toepassingen dringen het systeem binnen door zwakheden in de beveiliging, spam e-mails en valse online anti-virusscanners. Zodra Antivirus System Pro geïnstalleerd en actief is, zal het valse systeemscans uitvoeren en valse waarschuwingsberichten of valse scanrapportages genereren die de gebruiker informeren dat zijn/haar computersysteem is besmet. Al deze berichten zijn nep en Antivirus System Pro is niet in staat om besmettingen te detecteren en te verwijderen. Deze tactiek wordt gebruikt om de gebruiker bang te maken zodat hij de volledige versie met licentie van Antivirus System Pro aan zal schaffen.
